Some Of The
Surgical Procedure s Performed
Our goal is to make the
entire surgical experience convenient and comfortable for our
patients and to achieve results that look natural and unoperated on.
Some of the more common surgical procedures are listed for your
review:
Facelift:
This procedure is
recommended for improvement of sagging facial and neck tissues. This
procedure can be modified by giving most attention to the lower face
and neck, or may be combined with other rejuvenation procedures.
Healing may require 10-14 days.
The Contour Threadlift face and neck lift is also available. This minimally invasive procedure is FDA approved. It is a shorter procedure with a reduced recovery time and can even be done under local anesthesia.
Blepharoplasty:
Also known as eyelid surgery, it is performed to improve
saggy-baggy eyelids. Newer techniques allow rapid recovery, and
goals of surgery are to reverse the tired or sad appearance.
Forehead(brow
lift):
This procedure is done to
improve sagging of the eyebrows and forehead structures. A variety
of techniques are available, including the minimal incision approach
res ulting in less scars.
Rhinoplasty:
Nasal plastic surgery
reshapes external deformities of the nose, such as a hump on the
bridge or to correct a nose that is too long, too wide or crooked.
If there are concomitant breathing difficulties, some insurances may
cover a portion of the procedure called "septoplasty".
Laser Skin
Resurfacing:
This can dramatically
improve the appearance of aging skin, such as wrinkles and
sundamage. Plan to have some prolonged pinkness afterwards, so give
yourself two weeks off work and social functions.
Facial
Implants:
Chin implants are
performed to offset a receding or weak chin. Cheek implants help
those individuals who have flat cheekbones. These medical grade
implants are usually meant to permanent.
Facial
Injections:
Commonly used injection medications to
soften wrinkles are collagen, Restylane and fat. Collagen is made from
bovine protein, and Restylane from hyaluronic acid. Botox is injected into wrinkles of the forehead, brow
or crows feet to paralyze wrinkles temporarily.
Scar Revision:
Unsatisfactory scars are surgically removed and
replaced with a more cosmetically pleasing one.
