Dr. Hamid R. Djalilian
Dr. Djalilian
received his doctorate of medicine with honors from the University of Minnesota
in Minneapolis. He completed his residency training in otolaryngology – head
and neck surgery at the University of Minnesota. His fellowship in neurotology
and skull base surgery was completed at the Minnesota Ear Head and Neck Clinic
and at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Djalilian then served as the director of
neurotology and skull base surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago for
two years. After two years at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the Los Angeles
County Hospital in Los Angeles, he joined the faculty a UC Irvine. Dr. Djalilian
is uniquely qualified in the care of children and adults with ear, facial nerve
and skull base conditions. He has published numerous articles and lectured
widely on these subjects. In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Djalilian
conducts research in several areas related to cochlear implants, acoustic
neuroma, and chronic ear disease. Dr. Djalilian also teaches medical students
and residents.
